5. Artificial Intelligence Limitations & Citation Integrity
Citedoc uses frontier artificial intelligence, natural language inference (NLI), and semantic search to retrieve and summarize medical literature:
- Probabilistic Output: Generative AI models operate probabilistically. While Citedoc enforces claim-level citation validation, AI outputs may occasionally contain inaccuracies, incomplete analyses, or misattributed citations.
- Primary Source Responsibility: Citedoc provides direct links and bibliographic identifiers (DOI, PubMed PMID) to the underlying peer-reviewed papers and guidelines. You are responsible for reviewing the primary source prior to relying on any synthesized conclusion.
- Off-Label and Investigational Uses: The Service may reference published academic trials discussing off-label or investigational uses of medications or therapies. Such references reflect published literature only and do not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by the Company.

The Service may provide features enabling You to copy or export clinical citation summaries into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (such as Epic, Cerner, or hospital documentation systems). You agree that:
- You bear sole professional and legal responsibility for reviewing, editing, verifying, and signing off on any documentation entered into an official medical record.
